Predominantly working on Microsites and Applicant Tracking Systems, this is an excellent opportunity within a growing team to come and help shape the future of our service. You will also have a focus on analysis, design, testing and implementation services on medium complexity and relatively low risk, but nevertheless business critical Resourcing Technology systems!

Primarily a remote role, there will be the expectation to travel to the Newport office once a month, and occasional travel to client sites when required. Whilst SSCL supports homeworking wherever possible, with several Centres for Excellence across the country, you are always more than welcome to head to your nearest office for the day if you need to see another smiling face!

What you'll be doing:

  • Capture requirements and assist with workshops resulting in solution design
  • Configure and maintain systems based on signed off specification - primarily microsites and ATS, with scope to work on other technology platforms
  • Support project leads to estimate and complete system changes and enhancements
  • Quality assurance of own work, and assisting with testing of work completed by team members
  • Produce and maintain specification documents following company brand guidelines
  • Produce user documentation and support users during testing and early live running
  • Ensure all SSCL Web platforms meet accessibility compliances
  • Work closely with copywriters and UX experts throughout design phase

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience working with technology platforms
  • Experience building websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Good communication skills
  • Detail orientated
  • Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Experience of working with a CMS platform


It would be great if you had:

  • Software testing experience
  • An understanding of recruitment processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of GTM tracking and Analytics
  • Knowledge of WCAG 2.1
